The X-Files: Deep State Kicks Off Season 2 With a New Case

The X-Files: Deep State

Creative Mobile has released a new case for its The X-Files: Deep State, kicking off the game’s second season.

Released in February, Deep State has players step into the shoes of their own customizable FBI agent who must investigate a number of cases that touch on the paranormal. The game launched with 6 cases that take place in 2010, between seasons 9 and 10 of the X-Files television series.

At its core, The X-Files: Deep State is a hidden object game that tasks players with finding a number of different items over a given time period in order to advance. Wrapped around the hidden object component is a narrative experience that gives players a few choices that impact the story, as well as puzzles and an energy system that prevents players from quickly playing through the game’s cases (unless they utilize the game’s in app purchases).

The newest update has added the game’s seventh case, ‘Derailed’, which has players investigate a train crash in Montana. An ancient sarcophagus that may or may not have anything to do with the crash was found among the wreckage. The update has also added bald hairstyles and made a few smaller changes to the game.

The X-Files: Deep State is free and contains ads and in app purchases. Here’s a trailer with a preview of the new case:
