Wish Interactive has opened up pre-registration for its upcoming head-to-head strategy game Wizardlord, offering players that sign up some bonus loot when the game launches.
The upcoming strategy game will feel a bit familiar to mobile gamers who have experience with other games in the genre like Clash Royale or any of the dozens of similar titles. In the game players take the role of a wizard and have to summon an array of units and utilize different spells in order to take down their opponent in 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 matches.
As with similar games, players will need to build a deck of units and spells that they will utilize during battles. Wizardlord promises a total of more than 50 different unit and spell cards to collect and power up. Though unlike most other games, players will need to manage both mana (used for casting spells) and energy (used for summoning units) rather than a common resource pool used for both. Played in different environments, each of the game’s maps is broken down into three lanes, letting players choose which part of the enemy’s base they will head for.
Wizardlord is set to launch later this year and players will get their first chance to play the game during an upcoming closed beta test which is set to begin in July. Those that pre-register are set to receive a promo code for a box filled with items to help them get started when the game launches.
Wizardlord will be free to play and contain in app purchases. Here is a trailer with a look at the game:
