Vainglory’s 5 vs 5 Mode Is Coming, and Players Can Pre-Register Now
Super Evil Megacorp’s popular competitive MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) Vainglory will soon see the release of a 5 vs 5 mode to accompany the game’s existing 3 vs 3 mode. While they have been running closed beta tests on the upcoming mode and that map that will accompany it, they have opened up pre-registration for the upcoming mode. Players can pre-register on the game’s official website.
The upcoming 5 vs 5 mode will take place on a new map that is being designed by former competitive MOBA players and designers from PC MOBAs. Super Evil Megacorp hopes that the map’s design will help reward player skill and encourage players to carefully consider their team’s composition.
The new game mode is set to be unveiled on in mid-December during the Vainglory 2017 World Championship which will be held in Singapore’s Kallang Theatre. The event, which runs from December 14th to the 17th, will be streamed live on Twitch, Facebook and Youtube.
Vainglory is one of the first games to have success bringing a competitive e-sports experience to mobile devices. As Vainglory helped prove that competitive MOBAs were possible on mobile, competition between mobile MOBA games is about to really heat up. Right now Vainglory competitors Heroes Evolved and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang both offer 5 vs 5 modes, and are quite popular. Arena of Valor (or Strike of Kings), which is one of the biggest games in the world thanks to a massive following in China, will soon be released in North America. Finally, Paladins Strike, a mobile MOBA from the creators of the PC game Paladins, has just started its soft launch.
