This week on the weekly roundup there is a healthy mix of paid titles and free to play games. The week saw a new Tamagotchi game, a gacha game that about anime girls and collecting mechas, and a casual puzzle game inspired by traditional Chinese culture.

Florence

Florence is a new interactive narrative experience with some puzzle elements developed by Mountains, a studio founded by the designer of Monument Valley. Looking at the high’s and lows of relationships, Florence is more of an experience that lets players follow along as Florence experiences her first love. As with games like Bury me, my Love and Keep in Mind: Remastered, this is a game that focuses on its narrative. Florence is $2.99 and does not contain any ads or in app purchases.

Spillz

Not all new games are completely original, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Spillz is essentially Six! but with a container filled with balls that players need to try and keep from spilling. The game has players tap on blocks to remove them and send their bucket full of balls down to the bottom of each stage. Balance players a crucial role in this arcade puzzle game as players need to make sure that their bucket stays level. Spillz is free and contains ads and in app purchases.

.projekt

.projekt, is a new mobile puzzle game that tasks players with creating silhouettes using blocks. The brain teaser requires players to think about where each block is placed as they try to simultaneously match silhouettes on both the X and Y planes. Created in part thanks to the developer’s interest in geometry, the game offers 60 different levels to play through with more on the way, cloud saves, and achievements. .projekt is $1.99 and does not contain any ads or in app purchases.

Legacy of Atlantis : Beginning of Division

Legacy of Atlantis is an RPG that takes place hundreds of years after the fall of the advanced continent of Atlantis. The world is in the midst of a war between humans and elves. The story serves as a way of setting up the game’s short missions where players and their AI controlled companions take on waves of enemies. Outside of the game’s story mode missions players can try out Legacy Of Atlantis’ raids, PVP, and other modes. Legacy of Atlantis is free and contains in app purchases.

YuME

YuME: Alice’s Dream is an atmospheric casual puzzle game from NetEase, a company that is perhaps best known for its battle royale shooters. It is an augmented reality puzzle experience that gives players a taste of traditional Chinese melodies while solving simple puzzles in their living room. YuME is free and contains in app purchases.
