Fireproof Games has announced that the latest game in the popular “The Room” series, The Room: Old Sins has been delayed. The game was originally scheduled for a late 2017 release, but due to the need for more polishing and various tweaks, that has been pushed back a bit. The game’s new release date is January 25th, 2018 for iOS devices (iOS 10 required), and an Android version of the game will follow soon after.
Fireproof Game’s “The Room” series features three of the most popular premium mobile games, with total sales in the series numbering in the millions. The games are available on iOS, Android, and PC (the first two games are on Steam). Each game has players solve a variety of tactile puzzles as they pull levers, turn knobs, and rotate things to try and solve the game’s mysteries. Nothing has been said about the changes being made in The Room: Old Sins, but based on the game’s description, it will likely be similar to previous games in the series. More details about the game will soon be available, but for now here is the game’s description:
The sudden disappearance of an ambitious engineer and his high-society wife provokes the hunt for a precious artefact. The trail leads to the attic of their deserted home, and the discovery of an old, peculiar dollhouse…Experience The Room: Old Sins and explore unsettling locations, follow obscure clues and manipulate bizarre artefacts on a journey into the world behind the veil.
