Wanda Cinemas Games has officially launched the global version of its online RPG Tales of Thorn following after a lengthy soft launch and the launch of a Southeast Asia version.
Tales of Thorns is an action RPG with abilities that are linked to the weapons players choose to equip. That means that there are numerous combinations of skills for users to play around with until they find one that works for them. Even beyond skills, the weapons themselves are designed to handle differently, some may prefer slower two handed hammers while others may go for faster attack speed and equip duel wielding blades.
One of the game’s major selling points is its PVP system that promises gamers a number of fair and balanced PVP modes. One of the goals of the system is to make sure that both high and low level players compete by artificially out the playing field in order to let player skill play a more active role in the outcome.
Like many other mobile action RPGs, Tales of Thorn has auto play. The feature is controversial, with some gamers being absolutely against it because they view it as having the game play itself. Others embrace it and believe it saves them time grinding and lets them focus on strategy, managing their character, and playing more challenging content. For its part, Tales of Thorn’s auto mode will not help players with some of the game’s more difficult content and boss fights.
Tales of Thorns is free and contains in app purchases. Here is a trailer with a look at the game:
