Sonic Forces: Speed Battle is Now Available on Android
There is no shortage of Sonic the Hedgehog games on Android. Sega has released Sonic The Hedgehog Classic as part of the launch of the Sega Forever library, Sonic 2, Sonic 4, as well as a number of Sonic titles designed for mobile devices. Well today Sega & Sega Hard Light have added another game to the bunch. Sonic Forces: Speed Battle is a new competitive racing game, where 4 players compete to be the first to the finish line.
At its core, Sonic Forces: Speed Battle is a lane based runner. The game’s tracks (12 of which are available at launch) are divided into 4 lanes, and players will have to frequently switch lanes if they hope to succeed. What stands in their way as they head towards the finish line is a bevy of obstacles, enemies, and their opponent’s powerups.
Outside of races players will need to power up their racers if they hope to advance to the next league. Racers are powered up by collecting their cards. These cards can be obtained after finishing races, from chests that are given for winning races, chests that are given out for free every few hours, and from chests purchased with the game’s premium currency.
