Electronic Arts has released the latest entry in the incredibly popular The Sims franchise. The Sims Mobile puts players in control of just a single Sim to start off with, and gives them the ability to control more Sims as they progress. Players will control their Sims as they develop careers in areas such as fashion, business, or the culinary field. They can also help their Sims develop relationships with other Sims. Those relationships can be romantic, and lead to marriage and having a child.
The Sims Mobile is definitely not a traditional Sims game, and it does not offer anywhere near the same amount of freedom or opportunity for mischief. Players can still build and customize their home, complete with a number of functional furniture items that can be used to develop a Sim’s hobby. The game does offer a great amount of character customization thanks to a robust Sim editor. Here’s a review of the game with more information.
The biggest issue gamers are likely to run into is the game’s stamina system. Each of your Sims has their own stamina bar and most actions that they take require stamina. Recovering stamina is of course possible, and done by having your Sim sleep, shower, or use the bathroom, but each of these actions also has a cooldown.
Anyone who has played the game early on during its soft launch phase should know that the game has undergone a number of changes in the past few months. That includes some tweaked mechanics, more content, UI changes, and more impressive job locations.
The Sims Mobile is free and contains ads and in app purchases. Here is an excerpt from the game’s description and a trailer with more information:
