After its launch on iOS in early March, story driven adventure game Silent Streets: The Mockingbird’s Last Dive is now available on Android as an Early Access / Unreleased game. The Mockingbird’s Last Dive is the first game in what is set to become a series of Silent Streets interactive narrative games.
Set in the Victorian era city of Snowport, players step into the role of a new detective as he takes a look at some of the town’s mysteries. A darker game than most mobile experiences, thanks to a combination of art-style and subject matter, Silent Streets will have players interrogate suspects, collect evidence and talk to some of Snowport’s citizens while exploring the city. The game features voice actors in an attempt to bring the game’s dialogue to life.
While the iOS release of the take took advantage of Apple’s ARKit to give users some augmented reality features, the Android version is strictly a 2D experience.
Developed by Funbakers, Silent Streets is the latest game in the latest interactive narrative genre from publisher Playdius. The French publisher’s releases include the award winning “Bury me, my Love”, as well as “A Normal Lost Phone” and its sequel “Another Lost Phone”.
Though it was meant to be the first game in a series, players should not be too quick in hoping for a sequel. The game has not been particularly popular during its time on iOS thus far and despite fans’ appreciating the game’s writing and setting. It remains to be seen what impact the game’s Android release will have on the future of the series
Unlike the iOS version ,which is $1.99, the Android version of Silent Streets: The Mockingbird’s Last Dive is free to try and does not contain any ads. Here’s a trailer with a look at the game:
