Singta has soft launched Sid Legacy, a follow-up to the popular Sid Story with a magic school theme.
Taking place in the world of Sid, players will need to recruit heroes and head into game board-like dungeons filled with traps and monsters. Unlike Lord of Dice and other similar titles, stepping on a monster tile triggers a battle that pits the player’s team against the monsters that reside on that tile. The battles play out in real time, with the player being limited to rearranging their party and choosing when heroes should use their skills.
Sid Legacy is a different version of Crossroad of Sid, a no longer available Singta game, and has done away with Crossroad’s dice roll based movement. Instead players are free to move one tile at a time to avoid traps and approach monsters at their own pace, unless those monsters happen to be on the move.
During its soft launch Sid Legacy is available in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Philippines, and Singapore.
