NHN Entertainment is working with Rooster Teeth on a new game based on Rooster Teeth’s popular animated series RWBY. The game is being billed as a “strategic duel mobile game”.
The new RWBY mobile game will take place during the Vytal Festival, a global festival that features a combat tournament. Players will be able to build a team of Huntsmen and Huntresses and compete against other teams in a variety of different environments.
NHN Entertainment is a Korean video game publisher that has released a number of notable mobile games including Crusaders Quest, Jumanji: The Mobile Game and Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
RWBY is an animated web series from the media company Rooster Teeth and created by Monty Oum. It is set in the world of Remanent and follows team RWBY as they train to become Hunters and Huntresses. So far there have been 66 episodes of the show spread across 6 volumes.
RWBY: Amity Arena is scheduled to be released some time later this year. Based on NHN’s track record, the game is likely to be free and contain in app purchases.
