Sigono will soon release a prequel to OPUS: Rocket of Whispers, one of 2017’s standout adventure games. The prequel, simply titled Rocket of Whispers: Prologue, is meant to be a short experience that complements Rocket of Whispers. This brief narrative driven adventure is meant to take a closer look at background of one of OPUS: Rocket of Whispers beloved characters. Pre-registration for the upcoming prequel is now available on Google Play.
Prologue will follow Fei Lin as she wakes up from hibernation and finds herself in an empty world. She will need to escape the cellar she woke up in in and figure out what to do next.
Released in 2017, OPUS: Rocket of Whispers offered players the chance to explore the ruined world in search of tools and rocket parts. The emotional story-driven adventure showed players a unique take on the future as two plague survivors tried to conduct their people’s ritual space burials. The game received a fair bit of praise from critics and fans alike, and currently holds a 4.7 star rating on Google Play.
That 4.7 star rating is particularly noteworthy given that the game has opted to go the free to try route, letting players play the first act for free before asking them to pay up for the full game. This monetization strategy often leads to negative reviews from mobile users who expect everything to be free, as in the case of Super Mario Run which currently holds a 3.7 star rating.
Rocket of Whispers: Prologue will be free to play. Here is the game’s debut trailer:
