Gamevil is teaming up with Slightly Mad Studios to bring the Project CARS franchise to smartphones and tablets. Currently titled Project CARS GO, the new mobile racing game will be Gamevil’s first foray into the racing genre and Slightly Mad Studios’ first time working on a mobile game.
Project CARS GO promises to have licensed vehicles and deep car customization options. That is just about all that was revealed with the game’s announcement. Fans of racing games hoping for a fully featured premium game without in app purchases should not get their hopes up as this will likely be a free to play title with in app purchases based on Gamevil’s track record.
Gamevil is a Korean game developer / publisher that is best known for titles like Kritika: The White Knights and Dragon Blaze. Gamevil’s releases have traditionally focused on RPG and sports games, with all of the company’s recent titles being free to play with in app purchases.
Project CARS GO is the latest in an increasingly long lineup of titles that Gamevil has in the pipeline. That includes a trio of games that have already opened up pre-registration in Giants War, Gardius Empire, and Royal Blood. The Korean publisher has also run a closed beta test for its match 3 game Cosmo Duel. The company has also previously announced that they were working on a new NBA game, a sequel to the popular Fishing Master as well as several other titles.
As with most recent Gamevil releases, Project CARS GO is likely to be free and contain in app purchases.
