X.D. Global is bringing Luna Online M to mobile gamers outside of South Korea and Southeast Asia with the upcoming launch of Pocket Luna. Pre-registration for the game is available on Google Play.
The upcoming mobile RPG is the successor to EYA Interactive’s Luna Online, a South Korean MMORPG that originally launched in 2007. Though the North American version of the game has been closed for years, the game has recently found new life on mobile devices.
At its core, Pocket Luna is an action RPG that has an auto mode, customizable characters, and a variety ofsocial features. While the core of the game is combat, players can participate in romantic events, put on a different costumes, collect pets, and even soak in some hot springs with their friends.
The game does include auto play, combat ratings, and in app purchases that allow players to gain an edge and some users in South Korea and Southeast Asia have voiced their displeasure over the game’s VIP system and in app purchases. It also has an flexible class system that allows players to choose their skills and change their character’s job from the available choices of warrior, magician, and assassin.
While X.D. Global will be handeling the international version of the online RPG, it is already available as Luna Mobile in Southeast Asia and Luna Online M (루나온라인M:썸남썸녀) in South Korea. All three Luna releases have different publishers, and the SEA version is available in English. Neither the South Korean or SEA versions of the game have surpassed 500,000 downloads through Google Play.
Pocket Luna will be free to play and contain in app purchases. The game is expected to launch on September 13th on both Android and iOS.
