Path to Valhalla Mixes Together Action, Platforming, and RPG Elements

Path to Valhalla is a new 2D action game with platforming and RPG elements. The game puts players in the shoes of a warrior as he’s awoken by a ghost and must journey through a world filled with demons and monsters.

As soon as they wake up players are thrust into the action with little preamble and will need to figure out the game as they go. Picking things up on the fly is easy enough thanks to simple controls and clear gameplay mechanics. Touching enemies is bad, attacking enemies is good, and falling down bottomless pits is bad. There are smaller things like platforms hidden in trees that players might not initially notice, but overall the lack of a tutorial should not be an issue for most users.

As players slay their enemies their warrior will gain experience and level up, getting stronger as they progress in the game. Though the RPG elements are not as pronounced as they are in many games, they do offer players a reason to destroy monsters that they could otherwise avoid.

Created by Jonathan Poischen and developed and translated by a diverse team, Path to Valhalla is also playable offline and does not have any in app purchases to worry about.

Path to Valhalla is free and contains ads. Here is a trailer with a look at the game:
