Bandai Namco’s latest manga / anime based game, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage (also known as Borutage in Japan), is now available on Google Play. In Ninja Voltage players can attack fortresses using some of the characters from Naruto Shippuden and Boruto: Naruto Next Generation in order to steal resources. To master enemy fortresses players will need to overcome traps and defeat enemy ninjas. Of course players will also need to defend their own fortresses from enemy attackers. That means setting up their own traps and ninjas.
Anyone who might be worried about Naruto x Boruto Ninja Voltage being a generic strategy game or a Clash of Clans clone can breathe easy. In the game’s single player mode players will control one character, and the AI will control 3 others as they attempt to sack enemy fortresses. Ninja Voltage plays a lot more like an action game when attacking fortresses. A multiplayer mode where each player controls one of four characters has been shown, but is not currently in the game.
Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage is free and contains in app purchases. Players who download the game will get some extra loot thanks to a pre-registration campaign. Here is a review of the game, and some tips to help you get started on the right foot. Here is an excerpt from the game’s Google Play description and a trailer with more information:
