Prolific board game publisher Asmodee Digital has teamed up with DUJARDIN to release a digital version of the classic board game Mille Bornes. Mille Bornes is a board racing game for up to 4 players where players have to play their cards right in order to be the first to travel 1,000 miles. That means speeding up and playing distance cards to get ahead while slowing down the competition using hazard cards. While there are many board games out there that aim for an older demographic, this is one game that’s designed to be played by (or with) a younger audience.
The digital adaptation of Mille Bornes features a number of additions to the classic game. Up to 4 players can play on one device, or players can choose to play the game solo against the AI. The digital version contains the classic Mille Bornes map as well as two new maps that features new cards.
Mille Bornes is $1.99 and does not contain any ads or in app purchases. Here is an excerpt from the game’s description and a trailer with more information:
Young and old will love to play
Intended for a younger audience, Mille Bornes is easy to play and attractive for children. The colorful graphics and fun nature of the game will allow them to identify with the different characters and each speed card is represented by a different animal. The game is designed to offer pick-up-and-play gameplay, without having to read too many instructions. The digital version also incorporates more than 20 achievements: the more the player plays, the more he gains in expertise!
