Kung Fu Z is Dash Quest Developer’s New Idle Beat em’ Up

Kung Fu Z

Tiny Rails and Dash Quest developer Tiny Titan Studios has launched Kung Fu Z, new idle game with a retro beat em’ up look and feel. There are also zombies.

The game starts as the hero’s meditation session is rudely interrupted by the zombie apocalypse. So he does what any self-respecting martial artist would do in that sort of situation, take on the zombie hordes armed only with his feet and fists.

Kung Fu Z itself is an idle game that’s made to look like a retro beat em’ up. The game’s hero attacks on his own while the player watches as zombies fall. Players are responsible for upgrading the hero’s equipment using gold they find on the ground, using special abilities, and occasionally tapping on the screen for more effective attacks.

It’s firmly a tongue-in-cheek throwback to the likes of Retro City Rampage and Double Dragon. There are lots of outfits to collect, zombies to punch and the odd reference here and there. Oh and of course the game’s pants upgrade the hero’s attack.

Kung Fu Z is free and contains ads and in app purchases. Here’s a trailer with a look at the game:
