After recently releasing the time altering shooter Time Recoil on Android, the Finnish developer & publisher 10tons behind games like Neon Chrome is back with another shooter that is making its Android debut. JYDGE is a top-down shooter that puts players in the shoes of an augmented law enforcement officer as he doles out justice in the city of Edenbyrg.
What does justice look like in Edenbyrg? Like explosions and gunfire. Players are tasked with taking down the bad guys in the neon filled city as they blast their way through the game’s levels without any real regard for the mayhem they leave in their wake. Players not interested in being quite as loud also have the option to go with a stealthier approach, as most of the game’s scenarios give users a variety of ways of approaching each situation.
Beyond just giving players the means to blow stuff up, players also have the ability to customize their JYDGE. Players can augment their judge with new items, cybernetics, mods, and companions to create a unique justice dispensing experience. Those interested in dispensing justice using a gamepad will be happy to know that the game’s Android version does support gamepads.
JYDGE was originally released on PC, Xbox One and PS4 last year and the game currently enjoys a 91% positive user reviews on Steam. It is also available on iOS.
As part of the game’s launch promotion JYDGE is currently on sale for $5.99 during its first week, down from its regular price of $9.99. It does not contain any ads or in app purchases. Here is an excerpt from the game’s description and a trailer with more information:
Build your JYDGE. Enter Edenbyrg. Get out alive. JYDGE is a lawful but awful roguehate top-down shooter where you get to build your own cybernetic JYDGE and eradicate crime in the never-sleeping megacity of Edenbyrg.
