Hothead games, the company behind the Kill Shot series and most recently Mighty Battles, has released a new shooter. Hero Hunters is a cover based shooter that lets players collect, power up, and fight using the game’s many different heroes. The game features descrutable cover, truly unique heroes, and no shortage of in app purchases. Here is Android Sloth’s review of the game.
As with most other mobile cover based shooters like the upcoming Star Wars Rivals, Hero Hunters only gives players control over their movement when it comes to switch between cover and popping in and out of cover to shoot or use abilities. Unlike other shooters, Hero Hunters lets players switch freely between their heroes on the fly in order to best utilize positioning and elemental advantages. While the player controls one of his or her 5 heroes, the AI will control the others.
Hero Hunters features a multitude of single and multiplayer modes. Players have access to the game’s single player story mode and its dozens of missions, the team vs team PVP mode, a gauntlet mode, co-op, and daily raids. To go along with that Hero Hunters also regularly has events and PVP ladders that reward players based on their individual or alliance performance.
As with the Kill Shot series, players can expect to feel quite a bit of pressure to go for the game’s in app purchases. Though by no means required to enjoy the game, Hero Hunters will not hesitate to tell players about any offers it may have, or the benefits of its VIP system.
Hero Hunters is free to play and contains optional ads and in app purchases. Here is an excerpt from the game’s description and a trailer with more information.
