Sega’s increasingly impressive Sega Forever collection has expanded once again. This time around they have added 90’s run n’ gun side scroller Gunstar Heroes. Players take the role of brothers Red & Blue as they attempt to take down an evil organization that has its sights set on world domination. Red has the ability to move and shoot at the same time, while Blue has to stay in one spot but has the ability to shoot in 8 directions. The brothers have access to four different weapons when they start the game, and these weapons can be further combined to create 14 different combinations. The basic weapons are the basic force bullets, penetrating lightning, homing chaser bullets, and a powerful but short ranged flame thrower.
Gunstar Heroes was originally released on the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive in 1993 and was create by Japanese developer Treasure.
