Mummies, evil gnomes, and all sorts of monsters have arrived in Pixowl’s new city builder. Previously only available in select regions, Goosebumps HorrorTown is now available worldwide.
Based on R.L. Stine’s children’s horror books, HorroTown tasks players with building a city filled with scary citizens, monsters, mysteries, and children who are willing to get into a little bit of trouble.
Players will need to build homes and facilities as they attempt to collect a variety of items and scare the town’s humans for fun and profit (in-game profit).
As far as gameplay goes, Goosebumps HorrorTown is a standard mobile city builder. That means lots and lots of timers and not a lot in terms of improvisation and experimentation. Even after the game’s lengthy tutorial, players are limited in what they can build not only based on their available currency but by their level. That means building a lot of things in the exact same order as everyone else.
On the bright side the game features a fair number of decorative items that players can use to make HorrorTown their own. However the game also features a number of different buildings that can only be purchased with premium currency, either slowly gained through normal gameplay or acquired through the game’s in app purchases.
Goosebumps HorroTown is free and contains ads and in app purchases. Here is an excerpt from the game’s description and a trailer with a look at the game:
- Build & manage the town of terror!
- Create a complete collection of Goosebumps monsters!
- Over 100 playable characters!
- Craft and sell new items!
- Scare humans to collect special materials!
