A staple of the mobile gaming diet, runners come in all shapes, sizes and difficulty levels. From the modern day classics like Temple Run to level based runners like Super Mario Run. The genre is known for simple controls that fit well on smartphones and gameplay that is perfect in short bursts. Now there’s a new runner to add to the ever growing list, Glitch Dash.
Glitch Dash is bills itself as an “impossible runner” thanks to challenging layouts that require quick reaction time. The game is played in first person and broken down into multiple levels instead of an endless experience. Players need to swipe to jump over gaps, avoid obstacles, or change lanes as they run across the map as it forms in front of them.
While some games focus on simple visuals that allow players to focus entirely on the next obstacle, Glitch Dash’s first person runs are done alongside some visually impressive scenery and obstacles (at least for the genre). Right now there are 8 different levels to play through including the short introductory level, with more coming in the future.
Glitch Dash is free and contains ads and in app purchases. Here is an excerpt from the game’s description and a trailer with more information:
- Incredibly hard-core gameplay
- Gloriously abstract and funky graphics
- Epic beat driven gameplay to music
- Make a Perfect Run for the ultimate bragging rights
