Strategy Flinger “Flick Arena” Sees Its Global Launch
Flaregames, the publisher behind titles like Royal Revolt and Nonstop Knight, has launched Flick Arena. Previously only available in select markets as part of the game’s soft launch, Flick Arena is a 1 vs 1 PVP strategy game that has players use slingshot mechanics to move units and attack.
With gameplay that at first glance might look similar to titles like Hyper Heroes and the Japan exclusive Monster Strike, Flick Arena is all about slingshot mechanics as players take aim at their enemies while being mindful of the environment and keeping their enemy’s strategy in mind
Developed by Sweet Nitro, Flick Arena is turn based, with both sides setting up their moves before the start of each turn and then moving simultaneously. That means that players will need to fling their heroes to attack their enemies, but their enemies might have already moved out of the way, adding a layer of strategy to the game.
Everything but the gameplay will feel familiar to players who have played strategy games like Clash Royale. It’s a 1 vs 1 arena game where players battle it out using their teams of heroes. Those heroes can be acquired and powered up using hero cards found in the game’s loot crates. As usual, that means that players can pay to gain an advantage over others though free users can still accumulate chests as they win games.
As far as content goes, there are guilds to join, over 40 heroes to collect and power up, and multiple arenas to compete in. The game’s collectible heroes have a variety of abilities, with some being dependent on positioning as they attempt to deal ranged damage while others are flung around the arena and deal melee damage. The arenas themselves can have their own themes that impact gameplay, like a big spike deadly spike pit in the middle.
Flick Arena is free and contains ads and in app purchases.
