Pine Studio and Snapbreak are back to wrap up the Faraway trilogy. Faraway 3: Arctic Escape leaves the deserts and jungles of the first two games behind and heads to a chillier climate for more puzzle solving opportunities.
As with the first two games in the series, players in Faraway 3 are in search of their lost father. They need to solve puzzles, explore the environment, and find journal entries to unravel their family’s mysteries.
The third game in the series features 18 different temples to explore, each featuring a number of different puzzles to solve or items to find. Like other escape-style adventure games, players may need to interact with the environment to figure out what they need to do next and how to advance to the next puzzle. The game’s puzzles are varied and contain a number of familiar puzzle styles as players rotate mirrors, place railroad tracks, and move blocks.
The first two games in the Faraway series are also available on Android and iOS and follow the same format as Faraway 3. The two previous games in the series each have over 1 million downloads on Google Play. Playing them in order is not required as the game’s puzzles are the general focus rather than the story. Those looking for similar escape style adventure games can also check out publisher Snapbreak’s recently released Through Abandoned.
Faraway 3: Arctic Escape is free to try and the full game can be unlocked for $2.99. There are no ads or other in app purchases. Here is an excerpt from the game’s description and a trailer with more information:
