While Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition may be coming out soon, Square Enix has released another mobile Final Fantasy Title. After launch in Japan and a pre-registration campaign that offered gamers free gems, Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia. Opera Omnia is a turn-based RPG featuring dozens of characters from previous Final Fantasy titles. Along with a cast of familiar characters, the game promises an original story to play through, a co-op mode, and a variety of equipment and abilities to choose from.
As this will be a free to play title, Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia features some things that gamers often dislike about F2P games. The two features gamers are most likely to have a problem with is the availability of “auto mode” for combat, and the ability to summon equipment using premium currency through the game’s gacha mechanics.
Thanks to Sqaure-Enix’s pre-registration campaign, everyone who starts the game will receive 5000 gems. Gems are Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia’s premium currency.
Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia is free and contains in app purchases. Here is an excerpt from the game’s description and a trailer with more information:
DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY OPERA OMNIA continues the DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY adventure on mobile devices, where players can form parties from dozens of their favorite FINAL FANTASY heroes and villains and equip them with a variety of weapons from the series. The title features an extensive story and strategic turn-based combat that the FINAL FANTASY series is known for.
The unique Bravery system challenges bring greater depth to the battle system—players must build their Bravery through special attacks in battle and wait for the right moment to strike.
