RPG fans who aren’t too keen on gacha games and other IAP filled free to play titles have another premium mobile game to consider as Battleheart 2 launches on Android. The sequel to 2011’s Battleheart has updated graphics, new hero types and multiple difficulty levels.
The newly launched RPG has players take charge of a party of four heroes as they take on the game’s rats, cyclopes, goblins and other dangerous creatures in real-time battles. The game’s dozen classes include the typical fantasy knights, clerics and rogues as well as more unusual choices like War Priests, Frost Mages, and Samurais. Each of Battleheart 2’s classes can be further augmented with the player’s choice of talents and equipment. The game gives players a number of ways to play, including multiple difficulty settings and the option for either solo or cooperative play.
At its core Battleheart 2 sticks to the formula of its predecessor, offering players lots of chances at RPG action with real-time battles but not a lot of story or world building beyond the backstories of some of the game’s characters.
Before today’s Google Play release, Battleheart 2 launched on iOS earlier this month
Battleheart 2 is $3.99 and does not contain any ads or in app purchases. Here’s a trailer with a look at the game:
