FoxNext is teaming up with the developers at East Side Games for a new game based on FXX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It’s Always Sunny: The Gang Goes Mobile will look to have players work with The Gang on different money-making schemes later this year on Android and iOS.
The game is being developed by Canadian studio East Side games, best known for the mobile simulation game Trailer Park Boys: Greasy Money. Given the studios portfolio and the nature of most games based on television shows, the upcoming Always Sunny game is also expected to be a free to play simulation game.
The Gang Goes Mobile will feature the shows core character as well as other fan favorites as they interact and go through some of the show’s more memorable storylines and pranks. The game will also look to expand the shows narrative with new stories and schemes for players to experience.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is going into its 13th season on FXX and follows a group of friends and sometimes enemies as they run a pub, think of schemes to make money, or just live their lives. The show stars Danny DeVitto, Charlie Day, Glen Howerton, Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney.
Those interested in the game can sign up for updates on the game’s official website.
