The game features a story mode with visual novel-style cutscenes, a PVP mode against AI controlled teams, real time co-op, and several other modes to play through. Android Sloth’s review of The Alchemist Code gave it 4.5/5 stars, earning it a spot as one of the best gacha games around.

The Japanese version of The Alchemist Code is known for having a lot of different crossover events with a variety of anime and gaming franchises. Japanese Alchemist Code players have had the chance to collect characters from Final Fantasy XV, Disgaea, Full Metal Alchemist, and other franchises. This is the first time that the global version of the game has held an event with anything other than a Gumi game.Since the game’s global launch late last year The Alchemist Code has held two other crossover events. Those events were with other Gumi mobile games, Brave Frontier ahd Phantom of the Kill.
