PlayFusion, the company behind the trading card game Lightseekers, is working on a new Warhammer trading card game. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions will let gamers collect hundreds of physical cards and transfer them into the digital version of the game to go up against opponents around the world. Aside from being available in both digital and physical form, players will be able to enrich their experience using the game’s augmented reality (AR) features.
Although augmented reality gaming is often associated with GPS enabled monster capturing (or ghost busting), it can also be used for just about anything from fishing to relaxing atmospheric puzzle experiences. PlayFusion will use its trademarked Enhanced Reality Engine to offer gamers a new look into the world of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
The digital version of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions is coming to Android, iOS, and PC. Players can expect the new Warhammer experience to arrive later this year. For now they can sign up for updates on the game’s website.
