The X-Files: Deep State is Out Now on Android
With the new season of The X-Files well under way, Creative Mobile and FoxNext Games’ new adventure game is now available. The X-Files: Deep State is now live on Google Play a little bit ahead of its scheduled February 6th release date. The game is a puzzle adventure game where players explore a variety of cases involving aliens, government conspiracies, and other X-Filesy topics.
While players are be able to customize their own character, the game will also feature appearances from some of the series regulars. Deep State takes place in 2010, between the 9th and 10th seasons of The X-Files TV series. Creative Mobile and FoxNext are promising to release new cases for players to tackle every month.
If you’re hoping for a retro point and click adventure game like Thimbleweed Park, you’re likely out of luck. The X-Files: Deep State appears to be taking a more casual approach with a focus on storytelling. Gameplay will involve finding hidden clues, collecting evidence, and interrogating witnesses. As Deep State will have a focus on storytelling and unraveling the game’s cases, players will be able to make decisions that impact the game’s story as they play through cases.
