What is Tom Clancy’s Shadowbreak
Perhaps the easiest way to describe Shadowbreak is by labeling it “Clash Royale but with snipers”. You play as a sniper and your goal is to spawn other troops and destroy the opponent sniper’s base. Unlike some games that have used Clash Royale as a template, your actions as a combatant matter as much as your actions as a commander. You can choose to snipe enemy units, or to try and kill your opponent, incapacitating them for a short period. That also means that you can’t stay in one spot for too long without risking getting killed by your opponent. This adds a nice risk-reward element to the game’s combat. Beyond that, the game will feel very familiar to anyone who has played Clash Royale. It uses the same chest & card style loot system, everything happens along pre-defined lanes, and people who choose to spend the most money will have some advantages.

Recommendation
Tom Clancy’s Shadowbreak adds a pleasant sniper twist to the Clash Royale formula, and executes the game quite well. While the game is still in Beta/Early Access, it does have a lot of potential up side. However at this time Shadowbreak doesn’t have the variety needed to be something players would keep coming back to. That combined with a dull user interface and graphical style really hurt the game. That being said, if you’re interested in sniper games, this is worth a look.
