Team17 Digital’s Sheltered Is Now on Android
Team17 Digital, the development studio responsible for Worms and the publisher behind The Escapists, has released their post apocalyptic survival simulator Sheltered on Android. In Sheltered, players create a family and have them attempt to survive in a bunker. The family will need to deal with other survivors, food, water, and resource shortages, and enemies. That means crafting, exploration, and combat will be a big part of the Sheltered life.
Sheltered will offer players an array of choices to make and they will impact how their shelter is run. Should they recruit an outsider? Build a vehicle? Go explore and risk the dangers the world has to offer? Will you burn the dead or harvest their tasty flesh and add it to your food supply? Maybe that last option seems a bit dark, but so is life in Sheltered’s post-apocalyptic world.
Gamers might quickly notice a lot of similarities between Sheltered and Fallout Shelter or one of the other similar games. Sheltered offers a premium experience, without in app purchases or ads and is balanced with that in mind. Sheltered is also not afraid of putting players in a hard situation, and the only way out is proper planning and game management, not in app purchases.
Sheltered is $4.99, and does not contain any ads or in app purchases. Here is an excerpt from the game’s Google Play description and an official trailer with more information:
As the overwhelming despair of this new world surrounds you, how will you survive? Your approach to the countless moral choices you’ll be faced with on a daily basis, could be the difference between the lives of your family or their unfortunate end. Resources are scarce though, with barely enough to cling desperately to life for another day you’re already faced with a monumental choice. Who will you send to venture out into the vast unforgiving wasteland? Whilst exploration is a traumatic experience, the weapons you can craft from resources could tip the scales of life or death in your favour. Assaults from feral beasts and roaming factions are endlessly closing in, imminent and deadly risks surround you.
