Though a lot of attention goes to the bigger new releases like Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp or Naruto x Boruto Ninja Voltage, there’s always room for some lighter games on Android. Swedish developer Itatake has released Pukk, a charming runner (or slider) starring a treasuring hunting head named Pukk. Players will play as Pukk as he slides across frozen rivers of Northern Sweden, breaking blocks of ice, collecting gold, and always trying to stay one step ahead of the love sick polar bear. Gamers will be able to to customize Pukk with new costumes, level up, and set high scores as they play. The game uses a simple one button control scheme that lets players speed up their sliding head’s sideways speed in order to avoid hitting a block head on. Hitting the front of the block means slowing down and the bear catching up to you.
Pukk is free and contains ads and in app purchases. The game’s only in app purchase is a premium version that removes ads and lets you save more custom costumes, and more. Here is an excerpt from the game’s Google Play description and a trailer with more information:
» Smash and grab gold galore
» Use your gold coins to open loot boxes
» Style and swag your Pukk in all kinds of ways
