After a soft launch and pre-registration, the global launch of publisher Nyou’s card game MonsterCry Eternal is here. It is developed by Monster Smile, and is a follow up to the original MonsterCry. Players can look forward to collecting over 300 different cards as they build them up and attempt to take on the game’s bosses and other players. While MonsterCry Eternal is billed as a “tactical card game”, it more closely resembles a turn based RPG with cards instead of character avatars. MonsterCry’s cards level up, have their own skills that can be used when it’s their turn, each card has its own turn, and players have less of a deck and more of a party. MonsterCry Eternal is definitely not a card game like Hearthstone, Yu-Gi-Oh! or Magic The Gathering, but more of a gacha game that uses cards.
