What is Mafia Revenge?

Mafia Revenge is an on-rails shooter from the publishers of Monster Super League, 4:33. Players equip a loadout three guns and then destroy their enemies in either the game’s single player story or multiplayer mode. Players take the roll of a gunman riding in the passenger seat of a convertible, and have to take out the gunman in the enemy vehicle. As this is an on-rails shooter, you have no control over your car. You can however, choose to attack the opponent’s car, lowering its mobility, reducing the amount of cover it provides, or even setting it on fire. Ultimately your goal, as in many games, is to finish the game’s single player mode and rise in the ranks in PVP. To do that you will need to upgrade your guns using the game’s chest and card system, and other loot mechanics.

Recommendation

Mafia Revenge has a nice core gameplay style, and on-rails shooters are surprisingly rare on mobile. However, once you’ve played through a few levels, future levels will start to feel very familiar. That makes the game’s story mode quite dull, with disappointing bosses and a general lack of variety. The upside is that the PVP in this game can be quite fun. Gun and car variety can create some interesting match-ups. There will, of course, be matches when you’re decimated by someone with vastly superior gear, and vice-versa. While those battles certainly aren’t fun, there are plenty of interesting and exciting matches to be had as you decide on an attack strategy and figure out your opponent’s play style.

The big problem with Mafia Revenge is the lack of variety. Multiplayer can be fun, but after a while playing the same on-rails matches against new opponents gets old. That being said, if you need something to play a few times a day, this is a fine choice. It will get old quickly if you need something you want play for hours.
