After a pre-release period that included both beta testing, a soft launch and pre-registration, Netmarble’s Lineage 2: Revolution is now available worldwide. Lineage 2: Revolution is a free to play mobile take on the Lineage MMORPG franchise. The game lets players explore the kingdoms of Aden and Elmore as they pick up quests, crawl dungeons, and build up their characters. However, Lineage 2: Revolution also has one of the most polarizing features that is common to mobile RPGs, an auto mode. Players can automatically complete quests by simply enabling the game’s auto mode, which is something many users dislike. Though, as is the case with games like The Alchemist Code and Crusaders of Light, the game’s auto mode is no match for the opposition when fighting against tougher opponents.
Lineage 2: Revolution gives players the option to play as one of four races: humans, elves, dark elves, and dwarfs. They can also choose one of three basic class types, each of which has two different upgraded versions depending on the characters race. For example a dark elf rogue can grow to become either the fast attacking dagger wielding Abyss Walker, or the slow attacking bow using Phantom Ranger. Along with its class variety, Lineage 2: Revolution’s most attractive features are it’s guilds and large scale PVP battles. The game promises 50 vs 50 matches, allowing guilds to team up and take on the world.
Lineage 2: Revolution is free and contains in app purchases. Here is a trailer and excerpt from the game’s Google Play description with more information:
