Asphalt 9: Legends Begins Soft Launch on iOS, Android Version Coming
Gameloft’s hugely popular racing series Asphalt is coming back for another lap with Asphalt 9: Legends. The latest entry in the franchise features over 50 different vehicles, 70 tracks based on real world locations, a multiplayer mode with up to 8 players. The game’s 50+ vehicles is a step down from Asphalt 8: Airborne’s 190+, but that might also allow the game to focus more on each individual vehicle. More cars could also be added in future updates.
For the first time in the series, racers will be able to form Clubs. Clubs will act as guild-like communities that allow racers to team up and complete club milestones or work on rising up the club leaderboards.
Asphalt 9: Legends will be free to play and contain in app purchases. It does not currently have a scheduled release date on Android, but Gameloft has confirmed that it is coming to both Android and iOS. Here is an excerpt from the game’s iOS description and a trailer with more information:

ULTIMATE RACING CONTROL
Master the innovative TOUCH DRIVE, a new control scheme that streamlines steering to let players focus on the fun of racing. You can also switch to manual controls (tilt or tap to steer) and learn how to drive like a pro Asphalt racer.
